About
”I enjoyed reading this book and learned a lot about the towns the author refers to. Interestingly enough, these towns are where my own family is from. The blend of historical facts and mythology makes it a very interesting read! What a treasure!” Reader review.
“The meat of this book is the mythology, and it’s couched in the plot, so it’s not just a dry recounting of stories. There’s a goal to these ancient character and how they relate to the book. I believe it’s somewhat autobiographical, and I’d be curious to know the author and get her real story. I hope this book is not the last by the author. I’d be interested in checking out another one.” Reader review.
Greek-born Maria grew up in the United States. She was living in Southern California when a breakdown brought her back to Greece. Back to her birthplace on the east coast of the Peloponnese. It is there where she is working on healing and rebuilding herself.
After surviving the difficult transition. As she starts adjusting to her new environment, she comes to a realization. That everything truly does happen for a reason. That her life experiences and personal legend did not only bring her back to her roots. They brought her to her destiny.
The book is a hybrid of personal and historical fiction.
The book’s personal fiction parts include Maria’s action-filled transition. It also includes the difficulties of fitting in at a small port town.
The book also includes an analysis of some of the mysteries of Argos and ancient Mycenae. A recount of the history of the beginning of the Trojan War.
And an lso includes research and findings of some archaic Arcadian towns and districts. Mysteries of Anthini, Cynouria, Tegea, Caryatae, and others.
The author was for many years a research professional and forensic auditor. She found that this made her a capable historical analyst, mystery solver, and effective code breaker.
Like a historical and archeological detective, she dives in to make connections and unearth hidden ancient mysteries.
She is writing this series of books to share them with her readers, taking them along on her own “historical odyssey.”
Her love of adventure, persistence in research, and good sense of humor add excitement, interest, and entertainment to the journey. As she goes in search of the ancient history, mythology, and even magic of the Mythical Peloponnese.
This is the first of a series that the author is now working on named ARTEMIS CHILD. A title that represents the type of strength and endurance she found inside herself for Diane found that “bravery unlocks truths.”
The second book of the series “ARTEMIS CHILD a Rain of Stars” is due to publish January 2024.
